Edible landscaping is incorporating fruit and nut bearing plants, vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers into your property. You can add edible varieties to your existing plantings or renovate your landscape into a type of food forest. Stillwater can assist in all stages of the design, installation, and maintenance of these systems. Some specialty services we offer related to edible landscaping are: garden, vineyard & orchard installation, tree care, and natural pest management.

There are interesting edible varieties of plants that can fulfill multiple purposes in the landscape. We can help to match your site with varieties that you love, and will thrive in your climate.

Historically, many of the cultivated plants surrounding the homesite would be edible. Only recently have we shifted away towards ornamental popularity. We can merge the aesthetics of ornamentals with the functionality of edible varieties to create a beautiful and delicious landscape.

What we do:

Initially we assess the land and agree upon a planting plan.
Next we select and source our desired varieties of edible plants.
Then Stillwater Earthworks will prepare the soil and plant the trees, bushes, etc.
Finally there is special restoration needs for each project site that need to be addressed.

Stillwater Earthworks focuses on low impact installation methods. We aim to minimize unnecessary compaction and ecosystem disturbance. Ultimately, the landscape and scale of the project dictates the methods and machines used.
